Our story isn't about us at all. It's about you-the parents, educators and the kids.
It started when Amit was looking for an experiential learning products for her niece. He realized that if she is not introduced to electronic gadgets, she might become a misfit as a grown up in tomorrow’s world and might miss some experiential learning. Also he realized that spending too much time in front of screens such as those of TVs, computers, tablets and smartphones could have adverse effects on physical and mental health.
So, search started to find engaging activities on phones and tablets that do not hook a child with excess gamification but helps a child replace screen time with learning time.
A lot of research and no success, led to the idea of Aurodo.
Our Core Values
Aurodo started with core two values and everyone here firmly believes in them:
a. अति सर्वत्र वर्जयेत्
"Excess of everything is bad"
An important message for us from one of the most profound languages, Sanskrit.
b. Create screen based learning more fun and engaging but avoid any hook of gamification that can make kids love gadgets more than other humans.
What we believe
We very openly share with every parent that:
- Children 2-5 years of age may spend up to one hour per day in front of a screen, preferably on a high-quality activity in which parents also participate with the child.
- Parents are suggested to keep screen time limited to a maximum of two hours per day even in children older than five, even if it is for an educational activity.
